Poughquag- Carole A. Kearney, a resident of Poughquag, NY previously from Astoria, NY passed away on April 6, 2023, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was 85 years old.

Carole was born in Astoria, NY on December 27, 1937, the daughter of Michael and Catherine (Ryan) Fitzmartin.

On August 29, 1959, she married the love of her life Patrick T. Kearney at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Astoria, NY. He passed away in 2004.

Carole worked and retired from Ernst & Young in NYC, NY.

Carole loved to travel, crafting and jewelry making and was a member of the Beekman Senior Citizens.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her children: Mark and Erica Kearney, Maureen and Joe Salvati and Brian and Jacqueline Kearney. Grandchildren: Meaghan Kearney, Ryan Kearney, Kelly and Rich Berkery, Tara Salvati and Kevin Kearney. Brother: Michael Fitzmartin and sister Kathleen Moroney and her husband William, along with many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY on Tuesday April 11, 2023, from 4pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville, NY. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY
