Carole Nakano's Obituary
Carole K. Nakano, 73, an area resident since 1990 and formerly of Kamuela, Hawaii, died on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Sacramento, CA, on February 23, 1940, Carole was the daughter of Mitsuo and Ai Tanaka. She devoted her life to her family and her ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was a member of the Hopewell Junction congregation.
She was a resident of the Wingate at Fishkill nursing home for the past 12 1/2 years.
On August 12, 1967, in Sacramento, CA, Carole married George Nakano who survives her. She is also survived by her mother in Sacramento; her children and their spouses, Caryn and Michael Millen of Patterson, David and Anita Nakano of Poughkeepsie, Michael and Suzanne Nakano of Poughquag; her sister, Judie Miyao and her husband George of Sacramento, CA; and her brother, Rory Tanaka of Sacramento, CA.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, at 3:00 P.M., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 383 All Angels Hill Road, Hopewell Junction.
