Carole Thompson, 84, a resident of Wendell, NC and Brooksville, FL, and formerly of Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, Peekskill, Yonkers and the Bronx, died on March 12, 2026 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC.

Born in the Bronx on December 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Herman) Levy. Carole had been employed as a nursery schoolteacher in various schools in the Bronx until her retirement in 1983.

On July 18, 1982 at Assumption Church in Peekskill, Carole married James Thompson who survives at home. They had been togerShe is also survived by her daughter, Lisa Munoz; her grandchildren, Keith, Tiffany, Crystal, Alisa, Tina and Elizabeth; 16 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Howard Levy and his wife Margaret. She was predeceased by her children, Paul Munoz and Deborah Munoz; and her granddaughter, Melissa Tinsley.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
