Carolyn M. Pallett, a Fishkill resident since 1976 and formerly of New Rochelle, died on Thursday, June 30, surrounded by her family at home. She was 70.
Daughter of the late Peter and Doris (Twitchell) Carpenick, she was born on August 13, 1945. She grew up in Yonkers and graduated from Roosevelt High School.
For the past 37 years, she had worked for the U.S. Postal Service at their branch at Stewart Airport in New Windsor. Carolyn also worked alongside her family at The Chance Theatre in Poughkeepsie, which they have owned since 1994.
She had many hobbies, but especially enjoyed tennis and running. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her family.
Carolyn leaves behind Ralph J. Pallett, her beloved husband of 48 years. They were married on March 22, 1968 in Pelham Manor.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her son, Frank Pallett & his wife Michelle of Wappingers Falls; her daughter, Carolyn Pallett Brophy of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Daniella Pallett, Brian Brophy, Jr., and Thomas Brophy; her siblings, Helen Bradley of New Hampshire, Mary Schwartz & her husband Martin of Florida, Peter Carpenick of Marlboro, Virginia White & her husband Michael of East Fishkill; and Doreen Rebh & her husband Bill of Massachusetts. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was also predeceased by her brother, Ricky Carpenick.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

The family will donate to her favorite organizations including Family Services, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and various music organizations so that the music continues for the children. Carolyn wanted children to be happy and not need for anything.
