WAPPINGERS FALLS – Carolyn Spinola, 87, an area resident since 1985 and formerly of Croton-on-Hudson, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Providence, RI on August 19, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Armando and Marianna DiMarzio Mancini. On September 21, 1946 at St. Ann's Church in Providence, RI, she married Ralph P. Spinola of Peekskill. Mr. Spinola predeceased her on February 17, 1999.
Carolyn was employed as an Assistant to the Draftsmen for Cambridge Instrument Company in Ossining until her retirement. She was a parishioner at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Carolyn was very active in the parish, especially with helping the elderly.
She is survived by her children, Florence Spinola Lutterschmidt and her husband Rudolph of Dresher, PA and Marianne Jasilli and her husband Barry of Hawthorn Woods, IL; her granddaughters, Dana Jasilli and Brittany Jasilli; her brothers, Anthony, Bernardino, Armand, John, and David Mancini; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister, Adeline Milazzo and her brothers, Ronald and Richard Mancini.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 21st at 11:30 am at St. Columba Church, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at Assumption Cemetery in Peekskill.
