Fishkill- Casey "Potato" Orts, a long-time resident of Fishkill, NY, passed away May 10, 2021. She was 26.

Casey was born in Bronxville, NY on July 12, 1994, the daughter of Sergio and Donna (Gonzalez) Orts.

Casey was the life of the party, a ray of sunshine and would light up any room with her infectious smile and laugh. She came through for anyone who needed her for something and was a protector of all.

She was a patient care assistant with Unlimited Care Inc. in Poughkeepsie, NY and was her own father's primary caregiver along with her brother Jesse.

Casey is survived by her parents, Sergio and Donna Orts of Poughkeepsie; her sister and her husband Chelsea and Kenneth Blackburn; her brother Niko and his partner Tina Layman; and brother Jesse. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles Louis and Gina Gonzalez, and Vincent and Janet Gonzalez; and cousins Angelina, P.J., Dom, Vincent, and Sophia. She will be truly missed by her long-time best friend Jacquelina Sinishtaj; and her fiancé James Brand who just last week proposed to Casey.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 3pm-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service at 6:30pm in the funeral home. LEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brain Injury Association of NY.
