Cassandra Ladue's Obituary
Cassandra Jeanne LaDue, 46, a resident of Wappingers Falls, passed away on March 23, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Peekskill on October 24, 1970, she was the loving daughter of Glenn D. and Marilyn (Rubel) LaDue. Cassandra was a registered nurse, and worked from 1992 to 2004 as a passionate caregiver to her patients, many of whom with critical needs. In recent years, she operated C&C Rental Solutions, a property management company, which she had proudly founded.
As a child, she was always 'little mom' and a mighty protector of her younger sister and brothers. Throughout her life, challenges were never too great for Cassandra's determination and tenacity to take on, whether it was simply whipping everyone at foosball at the boys' and girls' church camp, or more recently, solely constructing an imaginative, and beautiful playhouse with a loft for her daughter's enjoyment. Cassandra loved baking, gardening, competitive outdoor sports, and volunteering for her children's programs and activities at school.
With a heart of gold worn on her sleeve, Cassandra has provided shelter and food, many times over, for friends and acquaintances in need of a meal, or a place to stay. She loved to entertain her family and friends on holidays, birthdays, and other occasions, special or not, with always an abundance of food, laughter, and special moments, too memorable to ever forget. As she has shared so often, the utmost desire of her heart and life was that her children would be happy, and that she'd do everything she could to provide for them.
Cassandra was loved, and will be greatly missed by her children, Brandon J. LaDue, Davon J. LaDue, and Cameron N. Greaves; her parents, Glenn D. and Marilyn M. LaDue; her sisters, Sabrina M. LaDue and Andrea (Martin) Green; her brothers, Glenn (Brook) LaDue and Randall (Seryna) LaDue; her boyfriend, Jon Doctorow; her nephews, aunts, and uncles; and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 1st, from 10 A.M.–12 P.M., at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533, followed by the service at 12:00 P.M., officiated by the Rev. Robert Adkins.
