POUGHKEEPSIE - Catherine Ann Cantrall,65, an area resident since 1982, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on April 6, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She maintained her unwavering faith in God until the last moment.

Born in Tucson, Arizona on January 27, 1956, she was the daughter of Forrest Lee Cantrall Jr. and Helen Halley Crawford. A writer, songstress and artist, her true gift was being a servant of God. She felt deep reverence from reading the scriptures in the Bible, as well as from her time volunteering with the Salvation Army.

Cathy is survived by her children and their spouses, Christina Joy and Claudwig Rodriguez, Jennifer Ann Bridges, Johanna Dawn and Gabriel Flores, and Joshua Jay Bridges; her grandchildren, Tristan Jay, Skyler Joy and Ethan Alexander; her siblings, Mary Love, Ted Cantrall and Bruce Cantrall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cathy was also predeceased by her sister, Sarah Lee Boomer.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1pm at the Hopewell Cemetery, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.

Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.
