Beacon- Catherine DiFalco a resident of Beacon, NY previously from Hopewell Junction, NY passed away on August 26, 2023. She was 69 years old.

Catherine was born in Yonkers, NY on July 7, 1954, the daughter of the late Richard and Janet (Hayes) Greagor.

Catherine was a registered nurse and throughout her career she worked for various agencies that specialized with the care of developmentally disabled persons. She last worked for Taconic DDSO in Poughkeepsie, NY, retiring in 2020.

Catherine was a devout Catholic and was a long-time parishioner of St. Columba in Hopewell Junction, NY. She also taught C.C.D for St. Columba parish.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and taking family trips to Rocking Horse Ranch in Highland, NY every November. She was known to show up to friends and family's homes bringing them sweet treats. She was the queen of TV shopping through QVC and the Home Shopping Network and always could be found with a Dunkin' Donuts coffee in hand. She enjoyed meeting up with friends to catch up over a good meal. She also cherished attending Broadway musicals with her daughter Karen and going for a delicious Italian dinner afterwards, which was her favorite food.

Catherine is survived by her daughter Karen and her husband Frank Apablaza, her grandchildren Sophia and Frankie, her nephew Richard Greagor and his wife Carmen and great-niece Elliot, her niece Stacy and her husband Kyle.

In addition to her parents, she is pre-deceased by her brother Richard Greagor and sister-in-law Jodie Greagor.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10am at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction, NY followed by burial at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
