Catherine Gilli, 86, of Hopewell Junction and previously of Yorktown, died on October 7, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.

Born on January 18, 1934 in Maspeth, Catherine was the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Kane) Leary. On March 11, 1961 in New York, Catherine married John Gilli who predeceased her on October 20, 1984.

Catherine worked as a Meat Wrapper for A&P in Yorktown and was an avid bowler who enjoyed going to Foxwoods and spending her lunch every Thursday with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Gilli (Vivien) of Phoenix, AZ, Karen Pasquarella (Patrick) of Hopewell Junction, Nora Kotash of Mahopac, Amelia Gilli of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Randy Pasquarella (Alexis), Karissa Pasquarella, John Kotash (Brittany), Michael Kotash, Justin Campbell, Kaitlyn Bower; her great granddaughter, Eliana; and her sister, Dorothy Belsky.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at Amawalk Hill Cemetery.
