POUGHQUAG – Catherine O'Reilly, 95, an area resident since 1949 and formerly of New York City, died on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at home.

Born in Manhattan on December 12, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Nevins) Reynolds. On December 31, 1939 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Manhattan, Catherine married John L. O'Reilly. Her husband of almost 51 years predeceased her on February 4, 1990.

Catherine was a parishioner at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction and a member of the St. Denis-St. Columba Altar Rosary Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Robson of Poughquag; her grandson, Chris Robson of Phoenix, AZ; her great-granddaughter, Sydney Robson; her sister, Rosemary Ducharme of Scotia; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Dennis J. O'Reilly in 1994; her son-in-law, Daniel Robson in 1997; her granddaughter, Catherine Robson in 2002; and her brothers, Edward, Hugh, Michael, and Joseph.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction officiated by Rev. William Cosgrove. Interment will follow at St. Denis Cemetery.
