Catherine Marie Shuk, 90, an area resident since 1976, died on February 10, 2026 at the Taconic at Hopewell.

Born in the Bronx on November 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Ziegler) Murphy. Catherine had been employed as a Security Coordinator for Wackenhut Corporation at Indian Point.

Catherine is survived by her sons and their wives, Joseph and Laura Lanza, Bernard and Deborah Lanza, Anthony and Shari Lanza, Michael and Concetta Lanza, and John Shuk; her grandchildren, Francesca, Nicole, Joseph, Dominique, Kayla, Jackie, Marco, Sean, Alex, Caleb, Calvin and Milo; her great-grandchildren, Miles, Mae, Luca, Nico, Mackenzie, Alexandra, Giuliana and Caleb ; her sister, Ann Norm; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Murphy; and her sister, Mary Cicarelli.
