POUGHKEEPSIE – Cesina Carlacci, 79, an area resident for 50 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on April 5, 2023 at the Sapphire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Italy on November 19, 1943, she was the daughter of Alfredo and Maria (Domenica) Carlacci. Cesina had worked as a seamstress for many years in Poughkeepsie. She enjoyed going to the Poughkeepsie Senior Center and volunteering at the soup kitchen.

Cesina is survived by her children, Allan Recine, Jason Herring and Angela Parchinski; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Herring, Cody Hues, Reid Hues, Jessica Finn, Toni Herring, Patricia Simmons, Austin Redmond and Allan Herring Jr.; and her siblings, Maria Maule and John Carlacci. She was predeceased by her grandson, Matthew Herring.

Private services will be held. Entombment will be in St Raymond's Cemetery.
