Charles DiGilio, 65, an area resident since 2013 and formerly of Cortlandt Manor, died at his home on April 23, 2026 following a courageous battle with ALS.

Born in the Bronx on April 19, 1961, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Marie (Cardello) DiGilio. Charlie was a self-employed painter and construction worker who truly loved helping others. He enjoyed cars, tinkering in his garage, nature, bird watching and music, especially the Beatles.

On October 15, 1988 at Assumption Church in Peekskill, Charlie married the love of his life, Dawn Dilio, who survives at home. He is also survived by his brother, Leonard DiGilio and his wife Jackie; his sister-in-law, Robin Dilio; his nieces and nephews, Nicholas Dilio and his fiancé Carly Greco, Robert Puff, Michael Puff and his wife Tiffany, Sal DiGilio and his wife Gabrielle, and Angela DiGilio; his great nieces and great nephews, Brady Puff, Madeline Puff, Charlie DiGilio and Madison DiGilio; many cousins and friends; and his faithful canine companion, Cody. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Bernadette Puff; and his brother-in-law, Robert Dilio.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 2 from 12- 3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service at 3pm.
