Charles
Faranda
March 17, 1942 – May 14, 2025
Charles Albert Faranda, Jr., Chuck, passed away on May 14, 2025 at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old. He was born on March 17, 1942 in Yonkers, NY to the late Charles Albert Faranda Sr. and Frances (O'Brien) Faranda. On July 9, 1966, he married his beloved wife Barbara Jane (Senita) Faranda in Yonkers, NY and they spent 59 happily married years together.
Chuck, as he was known by all who loved him served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964 and was very proud of his military service, he loved his country.
Chuck worked as a Mechanic for Chrysler for 32 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors camping with his family, traveling, hunting, snowmobiling and attending car shows. He owned property upstate and it was one of favorite places.
He was funny and a fun loving man who was always smiling and everyone who knew him, loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Faranda; his son Chuck (wife Barbara) daughter Debbie (husband Jeff) and grandchildren, Bianca, Chase and Nikki. He is also survived by his loving brother Joseph & wife Rosemary.
He was predeceased by his younger son John Joseph Faranda in August of 2008.
One of the greatest testaments to him, beyond his marriage of 59 years and his wonderful children, Chuck also leaves behind his lifelong friends who grew up together and moved South together. Not many can say they have friendships of over 70 years, but he could.
We are sure he was joined in Heaven by all those who left before him and we look forward to seeing him again one day.
