HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Charles Omphalius, 53, a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on June 17, 2025 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Born in Washingtonville on May 1, 1972, Chuck was the son of the late Charles and Kathleen (Brady) Omphalius. He proudly served in the US Army and was a devoted Christian. He was the owner and president of Max it Out Retirement in Hopewell Junction.
An avid baseball fan, he proudly supported the NY Mets and was a lifelong soccer player and enthusiast. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones, and making lasting memories on their adventures.
On July 3, 2005 in Cornwall, Chuck married Kimberly (Berthiaume) Omphalius who survives at home after 20 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Alecia McGrath and her husband Ryan, Daniel Leger and his wife Amanda, and Maximus Omphalius; his grandchildren, Leah, Lucas, Leighton, Riley, Murphy, and Mason; his siblings, Lisa Beams and Jason Beams and his wife Stephanie; his sister-in-law, Stephanie Omphalius; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was also predeceased by his brother, Jamey Omphalius.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday. June 24th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at 10 am at the Gathering at Faith Assembly, 25 Golf Club Lane, Poughkeepsie followed by military honors.
