Fishkill- Charles F. Ransom, a resident of Fishkill, NY for over 25 years, passed away on June 27, 2023. He was 83 years old.

Charles was born in Mt. Vernon, NY on December 15, 1939, the son of Charles and Helen (Trumpi) Ransom.

On October 29, 1967, Charles married the love of his life Theresa Gelardi at Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Vernon, NY. She passed away in 2001.

For many years, Charles worked for Verizon as a splicer in Peekskill, NY until his retirement in 1994.

He enjoyed fishing and working out and even became a Certified Physical Fitness Trainer after retiring from Verizon.

Charles is survived by his daughters: Karen Casucci and Kelly Ransom, his grandchildren: Evan Ransom, Andrew Ransom, Autumn Wasvary and her husband Richie and Shane Gilson, his great-grandchildren: Alex and Kelsey Wasvary and his loving sister Betty Ann Valenti.

In addition to his wife, Charles is pre-deceased by his sister Barbara Miller.

Calling hours will be Thursday June 29, 2023, from 5pm-8pm at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, INC. 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A service will take place on Friday June 30, 2023, at 10am in the funeral home. Interment to follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
