Charlotte Ruth Borchers, 97, an area resident since 1945 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at her daughter's home in West Milford, NJ.
Born on October 25, 1912 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Henry and Anne Barber Kolb. Charlotte owned and operated Arlington Stationary for many years and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsie.
On August 7, 1937 in White Plains, Charlotte married Fred Borchers who predeceased her on August 13, 1992. She is survived by her children, Beverly Lujbli of West Milford, NJ, Fred Borchers and his wife, Barbara of Hyde Park and Susan Goth and her husband, George of LaGrange; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Ward officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Freedom Plains Cemetery.
