Charlotte M. Felleman, 91, an area resident since 2000 and formerly of Ossining, died on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Wingate at Dutchess.
Born in Staten Island on February 6, 1920, she was the daughter of Frederick and Winifred Agnes Cecelia Kilgallon Bach. Charlotte served in the US Women's Army Corp during World War II as a Private First Class. She was employed as a supervisor for Reader's Digest in Pleasantville for 12 years until her retirement in 1975.
Charlotte married John Felleman on April 13, 1947 in the Bronx. He predeceased her on December 10, 1999. She is survived by her children, Jean M. Fiorito of Hopewell Junction, John P. Felleman of Vero Beach, FL, Diane M. Boorom of Cold Spring and Michael M. Felleman of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Stephanie Gallaher, Wayne Fiorito, Dawn Andrews, Danielle Gallaher, Jason Felleman, Jennifer Fiorito, Kyle Felleman, Michael Felleman Jr. and Christopher Felleman; her sister, Dorothy McLoughlin; 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her children, Cathleen A. Cavalier and Paul S. Felleman; and her siblings, Winifred Conroy, Donald Bach and Gloria Bachman.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am at St. Mary's Church, Lady of the Falls, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley with military honors.
