WAPPINGERS FALLS – Chris Trembellos, 67, an area resident for 14 years, died on October 30, 2020 at MidHudson Regional Hospital. He previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in the Bronx on May 16, 1953, Chris was the son of the late Constantine and Georgia (Pesintzis). He retired as Bridge and Tunnel Officer from the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority of the MTA in 2009 where he worked for 30 years.

He enjoyed working as a car mechanic, before joining the MTA, and then again during his retirement. He was very handy and liked fixing things around the house. Most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family. He lit up a room because everyone knew him from helping them out with one thing or another, whether it was a family member, friend or neighbor, Chris always helped anyone out with anything they asked. Everyone always said what a great man he was.

On February 14, 1986 in New Rochelle, he married Susan (Grottalio) Trembellos who survives at home after 34 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Anthony Wagner and his wife Priscilla of New Jersey, Valerie Morelli of Wappingers Falls, and Christina Weiner and her husband Tom of Poughkeepsie; his grandchildren, Anthony, James, Kayla, and Victoria; his sister, Valerie Bjorkman and her husband Neal; his nephew, Keith Bjorkman; and his niece, Lauren Bjorkman.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
