Christina M. Stickert, 62, an area resident for 28 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born on December 2, 1947 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Jeremiah A. and Kathleen McDermott Smith. She attended St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction and enjoyed playing the drums.
On November 25, 1967, Christina married Robert J. Stickert who predeceased her on March 24, 1992. She is survived by her fiancé, Frank Janos; her children, Christina O'Dell of Wappingers Falls, Robert Stickert Jr. of Poughkeepsie and Michael Stickert of Newburgh; her grandchildren whom she loved very much, Michael, Frank and Raymond O'Dell, Makayla, Shauna and Christina Stickert; her sister, Kathleen Smith of Wappingers Falls; and her brothers, William and Gregory Smith of Wappingers Falls.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
