Obituary

FISHKILL – Christine Lee Chadwick, a resident of Fishkill since 1998, formerly of Stormville and Yonkers, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. She was 46.

She was born in the Bronx on June 28, 1976 and graduated from Carmel High School in 1994. For 22 years, Christine worked for the NYS Unified Court System at the Dutchess County Courthouse in Poughkeepsie. As a Senior Court Clerk, Christine served many Judges throughout her career, most recently Hon. Joseph Egitto.

Her hobbies included dancing, ice skating, and travel. She loved taking vacations with family and always took it upon herself to organize itineraries for each trip. She had great compassion for animals and pets, and especially loved her goldendoodles, "Whiskey" and the late "DaleE", who was such a comfort to her at the onset of her illness.

Christine began her battle with cancer in 2011, and throughout that entire time she fought bravely and tirelessly. Her unrelenting spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her and was also recognized by her healthcare providers, with whom she formed strong friendships throughout the course of her illness. Regardless of the challenges she faced, Christine always maintained a positive attitude and strong work ethic. She was proud to say that she lived life to the fullest and will be remembered as the life of every party.

On October 29, 2005, she married Troy T. Chadwick at Bowdoin Park in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Troy survives at home in Fishkill.

Additional survivors include her mother, Loretta Adams; her sister, Jamie Cevetillo & her husband Mychael Lugbauer; her mother-in-law, Carol Chadwick; her godson, Jake Thomas; her uncle & godfather, Tommy Yandoli and her aunt & godmother, Patricia Perillo, with both of whom she had a very special relationship; as well as many cousins who she considered siblings in addition to many other loving relatives & friends.

Christine was predeceased by her father-in-law, Robert E. Chadwick; and stepfathers, Thomas Adams and Robert Cevetillo.
