HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Christine T. Freund, a Hopewell Junction resident since 1992, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel. She was 85.

Daughter of the late James M. and Anna J. (Hogan) Feeney, she was born in the Bronx on September 13, 1933. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years.

On February 14, 1953, Christine married Francis J. "Frank" Freund at St. Pius Church in the Bronx. Frank predeceased Christine on December 21, 2006.

Survivors include her daughter, Christine DiPierro & her husband Dan of Stormville; her daughter, Laura Pabst of Hopewell Junction; her son, James Freund & his wife Lucy of Saratoga; her grandchildren: Brian and wife Chrystal, Christine & husband Joseph, Raymond, Michael, Laura, Elizabeth, and James; her great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Zoe; her sisters, Nora, Theresa & husband Jim, and Margaret; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Christine was also predeceased by her son, Frank Freund, Jr., as well as four siblings: Patrick, Anna, Mary, and Catherine.
