EAST FISHKILL - Christine M. Heinrich, 71, an area resident since 1979 and formerly of Mahopac, died peacefully on September 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Deggendorf, Germany on August 1, 1946, she was the daughter of Otto and Anna (Sturm) Zerrle. Christine had worked for many years as a hairdresser with Entirely You in Hopewell Junction. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church, and enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, reading and celebrations. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

On July 31, 1971 at St. Mary’s Church in Mount Vernon, Christine married John R. Heinrich who predeceased her on April 22, 1995. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Kimberly and Eric Jensen of Edina, MN, Lisa and Christopher Evans of Poughkeepsie, Kristy and John Detweiler of Wappingers Falls; and her cherished grandchildren, Madeline, William, Samantha, Chloe and Jake.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in Rose Hills Memorial Park.
