Christine Rodriguez, 63, an area resident for over 30 years, previously of the Bronx, passed away on August 14, 2025 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Born in the Bronx on March 7, 1962, Chrissy was the daughter of the late John and Mae (Tierney) Stringer.

Chrissy was a proud stay at home mom during the crucial years of her children's childhood. She was very proactive in their education and community. Chrissy was a Hallmark Channel enthusiast. She and her husband traveled all over the United States to watch their children wrestle, play soccer, ice hockey, and inline hockey. She was their biggest fan. Most of all, her family was her life, she was a proud Grandma, and a proud Military Mother as two of her sons served honorably overseas for the United States.

On May 12, 1984 at St. Helena's Church in the Bronx, Chrissy married David Rodriguez who survives at home after 41 years of marriage. She is also survived by her sons, David Scott Rodriguez and his fiancé Kaitlyn Montera of Yorktown Heights, Eric Rodriguez and his wife Molly of Salem, MA, and Mark Tyler Rodriguez and his wife Alexandria of Hope Mills, NC; her grandchildren, Lyric Lynn, Bella Christine, and Ravyn Madison; her siblings and their spouses, John and Elizabeth Stringer, Patricia and Arthur Wagner, Catherine and Andrew Jacobs, and Thomas and Elyse Stringer; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daniel and Sylvia Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews.
