Hyde Park – Christopher F. DeRosa, 47, a lifelong area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
Born in the Bronx on October 20, 1967, he was the son of Frank B. and Margaret Brown DeRosa. Christopher served our country in the US Marine Corps and was a track worker for Metro North at Croton Harmon. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, NY Islanders and Boston Red Sox fan.
On June 23, 1994 in Poughkeepsie, Chris married Kristin Schatz who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Jessica DeRosa of Hyde Park, C.J. DeRosa and Anthony DeRosa at home; his siblings, Michael DeRosa and his wife Lori of Poughquag, and Stephen DeRosa of Poughquag; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, husband, father and brother.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 -8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12pm at the funeral home followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
