Christopher W. Yoell, 75, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 30 years and previously of Westchester County, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at his home.

Born on December 11, 1941 in Brooklyn, Christopher was the son of William A. and Florence M. (Moore) Yoell.

Christopher graduated from Iona College and Queens College, and pursued his PhD at The New School. He was a biology teacher for Lakeland High School for many years.

Survivors include his sisters, Susan Shon-Massey, Judith Godino, Katherine Chantal, Janet Mirel, and Jennifer Yoell; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
