Ciriaco Stasio, 94, a Dutchess County resident for 63 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Dutchess Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Pawling.

Born in Italy on October 9, 1919, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Clarissa Stasio. On December 23, 1950 in Yonkers, he married Martha Burton who survives at home.

Ciriaco proudly served his country in the US Army. He had been employed as a laborer for many landscaping companies in Westchester County until his retirement. A parishioner at St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, he enjoyed hiking with his wife.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, Ciriaco is survived by his sister-in-law, Rosemary Stasio; his longtime friends, Sally and Al O’Hara; and his nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 12pm at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
