Claire Marie Kuzmicz, 80, a resident of Dutchess County since 2006 and formerly of Woodside, Queens died on Friday, November 9, 2012 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.
Born in New York City on February 5, 1932, she was the daughter of Ralph and Christine Gutberlet Cifarelli. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for several small businesses.
Claire is survived by her sons, Councilman Michael Kuzmicz from the Town of Wappinger and Eric Kuzmicz; her sister, Pauline Kirsch; her nephews, Rev. Paul Joseph Theisz, Michael Cifarelli, Steve, Tony and Pat McGreevey; her nieces, Regina Trochez, Antoinette Theisz, Judy and Sancy McGreevey; her grandnephew, Joseph Trochez; and her grandnieces, Andrea Trochez and Charmae Theisz. She was predeceased by her sisters, Christine Cifarelli, Caroline Theisz and Marie McGreevey; and her brother, Ralph Cifarelli.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Queens.
