Obituary

LAGRANGE – Clarence E. LaBarge, 90, an area resident since 1971 and formerly of Yonkers, died peacefully at his home on March 5, 2024.

Born in Yonkers on September 2, 1933, he was the son of Clarence and Mae (Brancard) LaBarge. Brud proudly served our country in the US Army. He had been employed as a Teamster with Local #456 in Mount Kisco. Following his retirement, he worked for another 20 years as a Starter at the Beekman Country Club. He was an avid golfer who loved spending time with his friends at the golf course and riding around in his golf cart. He loved his home and enjoyed gardening.

On April 6, 1963, Brud married Jeane Petnuch who survives at home. He is survived by his children, Tonianne Griffen and her husband Steve, Ronald LaBarge and his wife Donna, Robert LaBarge, Jeanne LaBarge and her significant other Francis Navarra, and Paula Kowgios and her husband Nick; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother Roy.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10am at the funeral home followed by interment in Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers with military honors.
