FISHKILL - On Monday morning August 22, 2022, Clement R. Landanno, MD, passed from this life into eternal glory. His memory will be honored joyfully as, "doc", son, uncle, husband, father, dear friend and Pa. Dr. Landanno fulfilled his calling in this life as a family physician to the people of Dutchess County and beyond. A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, he served the Hudson Valley for more than 40 years.

He was a proud Bronx native, born to James and Marion (Gesualdo) Landanno. Dr. Landanno attended Fordham Preparatory, and NYU for undergraduate studies, where he met his best friend Ben Sims, who would eventually serve as Godparent to his children. Dr. Landanno earned his MD from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, where he also completed his residency. During this time, Dr. Landanno spent more than a year studying in Rome, leaving his new wife Antje behind in New York as he pursued his career. His time in Italy inspired a lifelong passion for travel, and an adventurous spirit, which he shared with his wife. He began his first private practice in New Paltz, NY, later moving to Fishkill, where he cared for many local residents. Dr. Landanno was the associate director of the (former) St. Francis Hospital Hudson Valley family practice residency program until it ended. During the early 2000's, Dr. Landanno worked as a medical director for Montefiore Medical Centers, and returned to the Hudson Valley, serving at Excel Urgent Care. Dr. Landanno rounded out his illustrious career once again serving the families of Fishkill at Premier Medical Group until his retirement in 2020. During Clement's time on Earth, he sought out opportunities to serve others with compassion, and spent a lifetime inspiring others to do the same.

Mourning his loss are his loving wife of 51 years, Antje (Martens) Landanno of Hamburg, Germany; Elder daughter, Melissa (Landanno) Minkow, her husband Adam Minkow, and their son Benjamin; Younger daughter, Pia (Landanno) Price, and her husband John Price; Sister, Margaret (Landanno) Andreou, her husband Harry Andreou, their children Geoffrey and Lauren, and children; Goddaughter, Lori Eckchart, and her son, Ryan; and a host of cousins, and people that Clement simply called "family".
