HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Clement W. McLaughlin, Jr., 88, an area resident since 1994, passed away on June 4, 2023. He previously lived in Tuckahoe, NY.
Born on September 9, 1934 in the Bronx, Clem was the son of the late Clement and Anne (Hann) McLaughlin, Sr. He proudly served in the US Naval Reserves. Clem was a natural born salesperson with a charismatic personality. He had a long sales career that culminated at Poughkeepsie Nissan where he enjoyed selling cars for many years. Clem's greatest professional accomplishment was as a counselor at Vila Veritas Foundation, Inc. in Kerhonkson until his retirement. A "Friend of Bill" for over 50 years, Clem was at his happiest when he was helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne (Mumford) McLaughlin at home; his children, Steven McLaughlin and his wife Julie of Darien, CT, Paul McLaughlin and his wife Suzy of Crestwood, Tracy Livingston and her husband David of AZ, Patrick McLaughlin and his wife Jackie of Pleasant Valley, Erin Hawryluk and her husband Robert of Point Pleasant, NJ, and Sean McLaughlin of Troy; his grandchildren, Daniel and Sue, Conor and Katie, Morgan, Irene, Kyle, Ivy, Nora, and Kathleen; and several great grandchildren; his siblings, Robert McLaughlin and his wife Mary, William McLaughlin, Anne Marie Forfia and her husband Robert, and Vincent McLaughlin and his wife Patty; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Wednesday, June 7th from 4-8pm with a funeral service beginning at 7:30 pm.
