Obituary

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Clifford Page Ross. He passed away on April 10, 2025 at Taconic Rehabilitation at the age of 68. He was a devoted, loving husband and best friend to Donna Ross, married May 28, 1995. He was an incredible, supportive and proud father to Caila, Christian, and Lauren Ross. Cliff was also a loyal friend to so many.

Cliff was born in Bronx, New York on November 2nd, 1956 to the late Barton Ross Sr. and Mae Ross. He had three siblings, the late Doris Depole, and is survived by Barton Ross Jr. and Andrea Paterna, and many beloved extended family.

Cliff had a strong faith in God and was dedicated to his family and friends. He grew up with a love for nature which continued throughout his life with his family - whether it was camping, hiking, or just simply being outside. He would often say to his wife... "Isn't this just wonderful?" as they floated around the pool, sitting talking, or not even talking at all. Just enjoying the quiet and their beautiful property. So many experiences that he and his family had together. Too many to say. Memories that will live forever. So very blessed.

The other love he had was his love for music. Cliff played the bass guitar primarily, and also wrote his own music. Their house was often filled with music, anything from classical to good ol' Rock and Roll. He loved his pets...late cats (too many to name), late dog Mickey boy, and survived by dogs Scout and Rosie, Rodney the rooster, and chickens.

There wasn't much Cliff couldn't do - from cooking to gardening to building or repairing anything he got his hands on. A man of so many talents with the biggest heart. What more can you ask for in a husband and father. He was partly retired from Open Systems Metro in Bedford Hills, New York where he was employed for many years. He had a great, unique sense of humor that was loved by all.

Caila: My dad believed in Revelation 21:4 - "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." We enjoyed talking about the Lord as well as various topics. Dancing around the house when we were younger. He had the best jokes, and was an insanely creative musician and artist.

Christian: He always told me to simply "swing higher" in baseball. For him not being a sports guy, it was really good advice. I always took those two words and applied them to life. He encouraged me to think outside the box, and was proud no matter what road I took. Some of my fondest memories were just hanging around outside listening to his stories.

Lauren: As the youngest in the family, my dad always made sure to spoil me and help me with anything I needed. Some of my favorite memories of him are relaxing on the beach and eating cherries together, swimming, watching him in the garden, playing with the dogs, and dancing in the living room as a kid. I'll forever miss his funny sayings, silly pranks, and his laugh when telling a story.

There are no words to express how much he will be missed."We are losing a man but God is getting a true angel." He will Forever be in our Hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Donations may be made in his honor to Sparrow's Nest charity, 10 Town Center Blvd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533.

Special thanks to the health care team who showed immense compassion and worked hard to support Cliff and his family.
