Clyde Ernest Chamberlain, Sr., 84, a lifelong resident of Westchester County, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Somers Manor.
Born in Peekskill on October 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Clyde Oris Chamberlain and Charlotte Gould Metcalf. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. Clyde had been employed by BOCES in Westchester County before his retirement.
Clyde loved his family, and will be greatly missed by them all. He is survived by his wife, Diane Fowler Chamberlain; his children and their spouses, Carol and Carmine Zanca of Orange County, Clyde and Wendy Chamberlain, Jr. of Ellenville, Clayton Chamberlain of Wappingers Falls, Craig and Valerie Chamberlain of North Carolina, Cheryl and Anthony Curinga of The Villages, FL, Curtis and Carol Chamberlain of Stormville, and Jeanette Chamberlain of Cortlandt Manor; his grandchildren, Amy, Clyde III, Craig Jr., Chris, Carl, Korinne, Kaitlin, Scott, Nicole, and Helene; his great-grandchildren, Kareem, Alir, Jakari, Jakai, and Cailyn; his sisters, Pauline Ryan and Patricia LeRoy; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his stepson, Richard Fowler and his grandson, Thomas Zanca.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 -4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 am at the funeral home followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery with military honors.
