Colin Thomas O’Brien, treasured son of James and Jacqueline O’Brien, was born into the arms of the angels on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 9:20am at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. “For a brief fleeting moment, an angel touched the ground with tiny wings and halo, blessing the lives of others with beauty and grace. The few who saw knew God had kissed his angelic face.”
In addition to his parents, Colin is survived by his grandparents, George "Pop Pop" and Mary "Ra Ra" Fountaine of South Kingstown, RI, and Robert and Susan Meyer of Fishkill; his great-uncles Edward Killip of Brooklyn and Francis Denaro of East Hampton; his aunts and uncles, Peter and Kathryn Heslin, Meghan Fountaine, Elizabeth Fountaine, Matthew Fountaine, John and Anna O’Brien, Erik and Shannon Nansen, Stephen O’Brien and Nicole Scerbo, Todd and Kimberly Meyer, Kyle and Tara Meyer; his cousins Seamus, Patrick, Kieran, Thomas and Baby Heslin, Mariah and John O’Brien, Matthew, Dylan and Natalie Nansen, Nicolas Dipardo, Julianna and Sophia Meyer, Aizayah, Aidyan and Kylie Meyer, Natalia O’Brien, Stephen and Francesca Denaro. Colin was predeceased by his grandfather John O’Brien; his great grandparents Peter and Catherine Fountaine, Francis and Anne Killip, Natalio and Susan Denaro, William and Jean Meyer; his great uncle Thomas Killip; and his great aunts Angela Denaro and Christine Meyer.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 30th at 9:45am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Fishkill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the HANDS Program at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
