STORMVILLE - Colleen A. Hocking, 69, an area resident for over 30 years, died on January 7, 2025 at Putnam Hospital Center. She previously lived in New Rochelle.

Born in New Rochelle on January 31, 1955, Colleen was the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa (Kelly) Sharkey. She retired in 2020 as Assistant to the Administrator at the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Westchester in Mount Kisco after 17 years of service.

Colleen enjoyed cooking and baking, and liked playing chess with her grandson. She was her grandson's biggest soccer fan!

On March 14, 1975 in Danbury, CT, Colleen married Gary C. Hocking who survives at home after almost 50 years of marriage. She is also survived by her daughter, Christen Secor and her husband Kevin of Wappingers Falls; her grandson, Gavin Secor, who was the light of her world; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful furry companions, Molly and Maisy.

In addition to her parents, Colleen was also predeceased by her sister, Cathy Coyne.
