Concetta Crescenzo, a 20-year resident of Dutchess County, formerly of the Bronx, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 81.
Daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria Mangino, she was born in the Bronx on June 10, 1933, one of eight siblings. For many years, she worked as a telecommunications supervisor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, retiring in 1984. She then went on to work in the telecommunications department at Vassar Brothers Medical Center for ten years.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Bimonte, and her son, John A. Stinziano & his wife Laura; her grandchildren, Andrew Bimonte, Nicole DelTreste & her husband Marco, Stephanie Kane & her husband Stephen, John Anthony Stinziano, Justin Bimonte, Alexandra Stinziano, Christopher Stinziano, Dana Newton & her husband James, and Michael Cherubini; her great-grandchildren, Adriana, Kailey, and J.T.; her sister, Margaret Spinelli; and her brother, Rudolpho Mangino. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 5 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. Following calling hours, a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
