Cornelius C. Ryan, 83, a resident of Copake for many years, died on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Dutchess Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Pawling.
Born in New York City on June 6, 1929, he was the son of Patrick and Mary Jordan Ryan. Cornelius served as a Radio Operator in the US Army and was a graduate of Fordham University. He was a licensed pharmacist who owned and operated Lakeside Pharmacy in Mahopac.
Cornelius is survived by his wife, Geraldine Fitzpatrick; his sons, Kevin Ryan of Poughquag and Chris Ryan of Yonkers; his brother, Arthur Ryan; and his sisters, Terry Bauer and Nora Haren.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction. Entombment will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley at the convenience of the family.
