Cosmo F. Giuliano, 74, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 17 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on September 30, 1936, he was the son of Louis and Grace Zarro Giuliano. He proudly served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. Cosmo was the co-founder and director for the Crossroads Program in New Rochelle. He then worked as the Director of Solutions and RSVP for St. John's Riverside Hospital until his retirement earlier this month. He loved watching old movies.
On April 29, 1995 in Wappingers Falls, Cosmo married Jeanne Whelan who survives at home. He is also survived by his sister, Theresa Puleo and her husband Bob of Fishkill; his sister-in-law, Anna Giuliano of Montgomery; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Louis in 2009 and Frank in 2010.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by entombment in Ferncliff Cemetery with military honors.
