Cynthia A. Forys, 67, formerly of Shrub Oak, died on October 13, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on November 3, 1949 in White Plains, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Wartonick) Maurer. Cynthia had been employed as a corporate travel manager for PepsiCo. in Purchase.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Forys of Poughquag; her children and their spouses, Aimee and Danilo Sosa of Las Vegas, NV and Jeffrey and Jennifer Forys of Wappingers Falls; her grandson, Landon Forys; her sister, Peggie Maurer, her brother-in-law, Tony Pisarri; her nieces, Jacqueline Ferreira and her husband Eric and Kelly Pisarri; and her mother-in-law, Helen Marynowski.
