Danica Kaužljar, 70, a resident of Ridgewood, Queens, died on May 3, 2025 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.

Born in Ogulin, Croatia on October 19, 1954, Danica was the daughter of the late Ante and Maria Rendulic. She had been employed as a meadow operator in Maspeth, Queens until her retirement.

On January 5, 1976 in Queens, she married Milan Kaužljar who predeceased her on November 1, 2024 after 49 years of marriage.

Danica is survived by her children, Marko Kaužljar, Marina Reis and her husband Carlos, and Michele McDonough and her husband Willie; and her grandchildren, Mariella, Michael, Christina, Antonio, Priscilla, and Valentina.

Danica raised her family in Queens, and would often sit outside and visit with her neighbors. She was a people person, who was very sociable and enjoyed being in the company of others. Her family and friends will always remember her favorite quote, "Bouta time!" Danica was proud of the life she and Milan created. More than anything, she was obsessed with her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Tuesday, May 6th from 9 - 11 am. A Mass of Christian Burial is being offered on Tuesday at 11:30 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
