Danica "Daniella" Petesic, 82, of Fishkill, fell asleep in death on February 3, 2023. Daniella was the daughter of the late Joseph Milicic and Regina Sofia Kovacic Milicic. She is survived by her husband, Ivan "John" Petesic; daughter, Linda Wagner (Kip); granddaughter, Jenessa Hansford (Michael); her sisters Bozica Milicic, Cvjetca Meyer, and Darinka Milicic; brother, Domenic (Adele); and sister-in-law Amelia Milicic (Milan) and beloved nieces and nephews.

Danica was born in Istria in the former Yugoslavia, now Croatia in 1940. Daniela met Ivan at a dance in Croatia. Ivan waited for five years for Daniella to escape and come to the United States where they were married in June , 1964. She was always searching for God and came in contact with Jehovah's Witnesses in 1964. She was thrilled to study the Bible and find satisfying answers. She talked to everyone she met about her God, Jehovah and the hope of living forever on a Paradise earth. She also volunteered in disaster relief and construction work with Ivan in the St. Kitts, Jamaica and locally. She loved animals, flowers, her family and many friends. Her meals were legendary, if there wasn't enough for 100, there wasn't enough. She delighted in showing hospitality and making many friends from all over the world and enjoying the unity that exists among international family of Jehovah's Witnesses.
