GLENHAM – Daniel Armstrong, 76, a resident of Glenham since 1975, died on Sunday, October 21, 2019 at Castle Point VAMC.

Born on January 20, 1943, he was the son of the late George M. and Natalie (Erickson) Armstrong. He proudly served in the US Navy. He was employed by Lebahr-Friedman in Manhattan until his retirement. He then worked part-time at Home Depot in Wappingers.

Daniel was a proud member of the Lost Wheels Motorcycle Club. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and gardening.

Daniel is survived by his son Daniel Armstrong and his wife Margaret of New Milford, CT; his grandchildren, Michael, Mark, and Brian Armstrong; his great-grandchildren, Raelynn Alice and Taz Sylvester; and his niece, Suzanne Cooke Volpato. In addition to his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his wife, Jean Katherine (Orum) Armstrong and his sister, Carolyn Marie Armstrong Cooke.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am followed by military honors.
