Daniel A. "Buddy" Cardinale, beloved patriarch of his family, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2015 at Maple Woods in Hamden, CT. Devoted husband of Brenda, dearly loved father of Francine Cardinale Shannon of Boston, MA, and Daniel A. Cardinale III of Beacon NY, and their spouses Liam Shannon and Sharon Cardinale, cherished Papa of Emma and Abigail Shannon and Alexandra Catucci. Daniel was born November 9, 1928 in Catskill, NY, served in the US Air Force in Germany during the Korean War, and returned to the US to attend Cortland State Teachers College on the GI Bill. In 1958, he married Brenda Briggs of Forest Hills, NY. They raised their family in Yorktown Heights, NY, where Dan was a special education teacher at BOCES for many years until his retirement in the late 80s. Dan and Brenda retired to Hollywood and later Highland Beach, Florida, before moving to Connecticut in 2010.
