Daniel A. Koppie, 50, a resident of Poughkeepsie and previously of Staten Island, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 4, 2015 at home.

Daniel was born in the Bronx on August 20, 1965 and was the son of Michael Koppie and Elsie Hognel Koppie. He was a Computer Programmer for 10 years at Millward Brown Digital in Norwalk, CT. He loved every moment that he spent with his children including basketball games and events with the Arlington Marching Band.

On April 7, 2012 in LaGrange, Daniel married Helen Grogan who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Danielle Koppie, Gabrielle Koppie and Michael Koppie; his stepson, Tyler Bruns; his brother, Douglas Koppie; and his cousins, Joe and Marie Koppie, Crystal Puglia, and Billy Koppie.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday at the funeral home.
