Obituary

Daniel Thomas Lynch 95, was a lifetime resident of Passaic, New Jersey. Upon the death of his sister, Regina Woodruff in 2004, he moved to Fishkill to be near family.

Mr. Lynch was a WW II veteran. As a result of military action in the Pacific, he was awarded several action and campaign medals. He was widowed in 1950 upon the death of his wife Mildred Wenzel Lynch. They had five daughters the oldest just being six years of age. He and his sister Regina, a widow herself with a young son pooled resources and parented 6 children. Together their hard work, sacrifice, deep faith and commitment to family enabled them to pass on these strong values. Their legacy has passed through five generations. He often marveled about having the love of his children because he worked long hours away from them. Instead he would assign devotion and praise to his sister for being the "heart of the family". He was employed as a shift manager for more than 25 years at Tenneco Paper Co. in Clifton New Jersey. Upon retirement he worked as a courier for 1st National Bank of Clifton.

Mr Lynch was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 200 serving as Past Commander and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Passaic for over 65 years. He supported his Parish of St. Nicholas in Passaic New Jersey In numerous ways, living out the Faith he held so dear. He was predeceased by his parents Daniel T. Lynch and Jane Moran Lynch. He is also predeceased by his youngest daughter Mildred G Lynch, one brother and six sisters.
