Daniel Oliver, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Pines at Poughkeepsie. He was 61.

Son of Rafael and Luz (Bonilla) Oliver, he was born in Brooklyn on September 24, 1956.

He worked as a bus driver for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority for 25 years. Daniel's hobbies included music, cooking (especially smoking meat and ribs), and he loved being with his family.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Sonia Oliver of Wappingers Falls; his nephew, Richard Oliver & his wife Katie of Wappingers Falls; his niece, Rachel Welch & her husband William of Poughkeepsie, and their children; and many other relatives & friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Rafael Oliver, Jr.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
