Daniel Andrew Tell, 29, an area resident for 23 years and formerly of Croton-on-Hudson, died unexpectedly on August 16, 2016.

Born in Bronxville on March 27, 1987, he was the son of David Tell and Barbara Tell Ventura. Danny had been the manager of William Tell Hardware in Hopewell Junction for 14 years and had recently started working at Brinkman Hardware in Uniondale. He was an avid golfer and sports fan who loved the New York Yankees. More than anything, he loved helping people.

Danny is survived by his father David Tell and his fiancé Carrie Hess of Hopewell Junction; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Cesar Ventura of Yonkers; his siblings, Seth and Jennifer Tell of Wallkill, Jessica and Rich Knopke of Katonah, Maddox Tell, and Brianna Harris; his nieces, Sierra, Skylar and Hailey; his nephew, Jake; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dog, Jupiter.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 11am at the funeral home followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
