POUGHQUAG - David C. Andrews, 65, died peacefully on May 19, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Surrounded by his children, he enjoyed one last piece of carrot cake and a mountain dew while watching WWE with his family at his bedside.

Born on April 16, 1960 in Poughkeepsie, David was the son of the late Charles and Delviner (Girard) Andrews. As a skilled craftsman, he spent his career in the fields of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and landscaping.

David enjoyed everything about Christmas, and collected ornaments. He enjoyed sitting in his favorite chair and looking out at all the birds surrounding the bird feeder that he made sure was always full while drinking a coffee and enjoying a cigarette and enjoying the warmth of his pellet stove. He also liked golfing and gardening in his spare time. More than anything, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

On October 20, 2009 in Beekman, he married the love of his life for over 20 years, Maureen T. Munisteri, who predeceased him on June 6, 2011. David is survived by his children, Cassandra Andrews and her husband Jonathan Jacob of De Land, FL, Roy Andrews of Kingston, NY, and David T. Andrews of Poughquag, NY; his sister, Deborah Burt and her husband David; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Thomas Andrews and Gail O'Dell.
