POUGHKEEPSIE – David Patrick McDermott, 38, a lifelong area resident, died on October 12, 2018 at home.

He was born in the Bronx on May 13, 1980. He had been employed as an electrical technician for Selux Corporation in Highland.

David is survived by his daughters, Brianna McDermott, Alyssa McDermott, Veronica McDermott, and Rebecca McDermott; his mother, Patricia Pesce; his siblings, Christine Ricci and her husband Daniel, Wilfrid Meneses, Cheryl Meneses and Kiralynne McDermott; his girlfriend, Shenoa Valdez; his aunt, Michele Casiano and her husband Sigfredo; his cousin, Steven Casiano and his former wife, Katie Warning. He was predeceased by his father, David McDermott.

David was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his daughters.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will be on Thursday at 2:30 pm at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
